Ma presto l'archeologo scopre che la donna finge di amarlo, mentre in realtà lo tradisce, perché collabora con il perfido Donovan e con i nazisti che vogliono impossessarsi del Graal. Saputo che il padre si trova in un castello in Germania, Indiana lo raggiunge e, dopo averlo liberato, si reca con lui a Berlino, per recuperare il libro contenente le ricerche fatte..
