Abstract: Il dottor Jekyll, uno scienziato che si divide fra il laboratorio e l'assistenza ai poveri, è innamorato di Millicent, la figlia di George Carew. Durante i suoi esperimenti Jekyll produce una sostanza che, ingerita, lo trasforma in Mr Hyde, suo alter ego malefico. Hyde prende via via il sopravvento sulla parte buona. Sir George assiste alla trasformazione e viene ucciso dall'essere malefico.
