Abstract: Ogni tanto gli anniversari non vengono per nuocere. È il caso del sessantesimo del Festival di Cannes che ha spinto il suo Presidente e mentore Gil Jacob a celebrare offrendo ai registi di cui sopra la possibilità di realizzare un film di 3 minuti avente al centro la sala cinematografica o comunque l'idea di film già realizzato. Quindi niente lavoro del set, registi e attori ecc. ma l'opera finita e il suo rapporto con il luogo che resta ancora (almeno idealmente) al centro della sua fruizione. Abstract: E' il 1952 e la radio diffonde in tutta l'Argentina la notizia della morte di Evita Peròn, personaggio che aveva cambiato la storia del Paese negli ultimi dieci anni. Parte un flashback, e la voce narrante del Che ricorda l'infanzia di Evita, figlia illegittima di un contadino, in una cittadina ad ovest di Buenos Aires. Cresciuta, Eva si lega ad Agustin Magaldi, famoso artista di tango con il quale arriva nella capitale. Ambiziosa e decisa, Eva vuole diventare attrice radiofonica e cinematografica e a tale scopo si introduce nei circoli importanti della società che conta. Quando conosce Juan Peròn, nome emergente della politica argentina, gli si affianca in maniera molto stretta. Superando le malelingue e l'opposizione dei benpensanti e dei militari, i due si sposano. Dopo il 1945, Peròn, viene eletto presidente e la moglie Evita ne è la prima consigliera e sostenitrice. Fa un viaggio in Europa, dà vita alla fondazione Eva Peròn per aiutare i bisognosi, forma il partito peronista delle donne e il suo carisma presso la popolazione aumenta a vista d'occhio. Nel momento della massima popolarità, Eva si ammala, le viene diagnosticato un tumore che nel giro di poco tempo la conduce alla morte. Abstract: Robert W Paul is justly celebrated as the leading pioneer of British film and one of the founders of world cinema. Concentrating first on actuality films, he soon branched out, pioneering almost every kind of film from documentary to fiction and fantasy. This unique DVD collection of 62 films, many preserved by the BFI National Archive, represents an attempt to bring together for the first time the collected output of R W Paul and his studio. Abstract: American stop-motion animation in which future Japan sees itself overrun by packs of dogs which are beginning to spread disease to humans. A mayor's solution is to exile every dog to an island filled with toxic waste and rubbish, where they will live out their days away from civilisation. When a young boy is devastated to find his dog is missing, he flies a plane to the island where he enlists the help of its inhabitants to track him down. As the dogs become frustrated with their new home, they formulate a plan to get off the island and back to the mainland.
