Abstract: Molte preoccupazioni attanagliano Bruce Wayne, alias Batman, nella tormentata Gotham City. Al pericoloso e sadico Harvey Dent, ex procuratore divenuto cattivo dopo che a un processo gli hanno sfigurato metà volto col vetriolo, si aggiunge l'enigmista e scienziato folle e geniale Edward Nygma, un ambizioso impiegato di Wayne, che, vista respinta dal principale, che lui ammira molto, un'innovativa e pericolosa invenzione, che permette la manipolazione del cervello attraverso la televisione, decide di allearsi con Dent nella lotta senza quartiere contro Batman..
