Abstract: Nella Londra vittoriana di fine Ottocento, l'avvocato Utterson è preoccupato per il suo amico Henry Jekyll, poiché questi ha fatto testamento a favore di un certo signor Hyde. Decide quindi di indagare su di lui. In effetti il dottor Jekyll, da sempre affascinato dalla convivenza forzata tra il bene e il male nello stesso individuo, trova il modo di scindere le due personalità mettendo a punto un siero che lo trasforma nel ripugnante e sadico Hyde, per poi ritornare alle sue vere sembianze grazie a un antidoto. Ma la quantità di antidoto necessaria per ritornare alla sua condizione iniziale è sempre più forte e la situazione gli sfuggirà di mano... Pubblicato per la prima volta a Londra nel 1886, "Lo strano caso di Dr. Jackyll e Mr. Hyde" è considerato la più importante opera di Stevenson e uno dei più grandi classici della letteratura fantastica di tutti i tempi.
