Abstract: Django ist ein Sklave, der 1858 im Tiefen Süden der Vereinigten Staaten lebt und von seiner Frau Broomhilda (in Anlehnung an Brunhilde) getrennt wurde. Dr. King Schultz, ein deutscher Zahnarzt aus Düsseldorf, der seit einiger Zeit als Kopfgeldjäger arbeitet, befreit ihn, um mit seiner Hilfe die Verbrecherbande Brittle Brothers zu töten. Im Gegenzug verspricht er, Django die Freiheit zu schenken. Die Brittle Brothers arbeiten als Sklavenaufseher auf einer Plantage von Big Daddy. Dr. Schultz und Django finden und töten sie. Abstract: Um den Brittle-Brüdern auf die Spur zu kommen, befreit der humanistisch gesinnte Kopfgeldjäger Dr. King Schultz den Sklaven Django, dessen Frau von den Brüdern verschleppt und verkauft wurde. Schultz nimmt Django unter seine Fittiche, lehrt ihn zu töten und auch sonst ein paar nützliche Dinge. Im Gegenzug führt ihn Django erst zu den Brittles und dann zur Plantage Candyland, wo ein gewisser Calvin Candie mit Hilfe seines Adlatus Stephen eine Schreckensherrschaft ausübt. Django aber will von Candie nur seine Frau zurück.
