Abstract: O Curioso Caso de Benjamin Button é um conto tocante e inesquecível. Escrito por Francis Scott Fitzgerald em 1922, o livro conta a história de Benjamin que nasceu com a aparência de um homem idoso.  Conforme cresce, Benjamin vai rejuvenescendo e vivendo experiências como o amor, a solidão, a perda e o medo. O autor declarou que o conto era de um de seus mais preciosos escritos. Esse mesmo trabalho inspirou o filme O Curioso Caso de Benjamin Button.Francis Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) foi escritor norte-americano.Um dos escritores da chamada "Geração Perdida" da literatura americana.Francis Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) nasceu em Saint Paul, Minnesota, Estados Unidos, no dia 24 de setembro de 1896. Filho de um rico fazendeiro do sul e de uma rica católica irlandesa, frequentou as melhores escolas sem mostrar interesse pelos estudos. Ingressou na Universidade de Princeton, não concluiu o curso. Em 1917 alista-se no Exército.Em um campo de treinamento no Alabama, conhece Zelda Sayre, com quem se casa. Desmobilizado de suas funções militares, tenta seguir a carreira publicitária até publicar o primeiro romance, "Este Lado do Paraíso", em 1920. O livro é sucesso de vendas. Scott passa a ser porta-voz dos jovens intelectuais revoltados com a sociedade.Principal cronista da vida da alta sociedade dos Estados Unidos nos anos 20, por ele definidos como "Era do Jazz".
