Abstract: Der puertoricanische Sänger Hector Lavoe (1946-1993) gilt als einer der Mitbegründer der Salsa-Bewegung in den Vereinigten Staaten und hat eine Karriere mit allen Höhen und Tiefen durchlebt. Vom steilsten Aufstieg bis zum tiefsten Fall - seine rasante Karriere durchlief alle Stationen.
